2022 Spelling Bee

The 24th annual Westwood Spelling Bees were held on May 11, 2022, in the auditorium.  All Westwood students in grades one through six were eligible to compete in their respective classrooms.  The classrooms then advanced three students, with one alternate, to the final competitions.  Words used in the spelling bees were selected from Eaton’s True Blue Speller. 

Contestants in the 3rd/4th Grade division were:

• 1st place- Josie Sampson

• 2nd place- Piper Andresen

• 3rd place- Edynne Walcott

Contestants in the 5th/6th Grade division were:

• 1st place- Holly Skinner

• 2nd place- Bryce Stoulil

• 3rd place- Addison Kavanaugh

Contestants in the 1st/2nd Grade division were:

• 1st place- Alahna Marr

• 2nd place- Emma Huff

• 3rd place- Kindric Riner

Elementary Spelling Bee 2021

The 23rd annual Westwood Spelling Bees were held on May 12, 2021, in the auditorium.  All Westwood students in grades one through six were eligible to compete in their respective classrooms.  The classrooms then advanced three students, with one alternate, to the final competitions.  Words used in the spelling bees were selected from Eaton’s True Blue Speller.  

Contestants in the 3rd/4th Grade division were:

• 1st place- Suriana Bebee

• 2nd place- Mack Kenney

• 3rd place- Naomi Terry

Contestants in the 5th/6th Grade division were:

• 1st place- Josie McFarland

• 2nd place- Drew Castle

• 3rd place- Kage McDonald

Contestants in the 1st/2nd Grade division were:

• 1st place- Brady Splitter

• 2nd place- Kendrick Riner
