Hy-Vee Receipt Collections
The Westwood Student Council is going to begin collecting Hy-Vee receipts again this year! They can be from the Sioux City or South Sioux City Hy-Vee’s or the Hy-Vee Drug Store. For every $100 dollars collected the school will receive $1 dollar!
Please have your students bring in their receipts to their classroom teacher. These receipts will be collected by the Student Council and totaled to declare classroom winners. The top 3 classes will receive a prize at the end of the year!!
Here are a few guidelines that need to be followed:
· Receipts must be from the Sioux City or South Sioux City Hy-Vee stores or the
Hy-Vee Drug Store on Pierce St.
· Receipts dated September 1, 2025 - April 1, 2026
· Groceries - Prescriptions - Floral - Catering & more

The XC team was in action at Sheldon on Monday. Personal best times were recorded for Jacob Clayton, Chloe Wiggs, Braxton Seaton, and Brady Splitter. High School Medalists were Jacob Clayton 14th, Keely Christofferson 18th, Chloe Wiggs 25th, and Jaylie Ritchie 10th JV.

The Westwood varsity volleyball team won the West Sioux tournament on Saturday. The Rebels defeated Akron-Westfield 21-15, 21-14 to start the day. Then defeated George-Little Rock 21-19, 23-21. In the finals, the Rebels defeated Rock Valley 21-18, 24-22. The Rebels were led by Grace Lewis with 6 Ace serves, 1 error on 29 attempts. Cate Drees served 19 times with no errors and the team served 93%. Carlee Johnston led in assists with 50 on the day. Kill leaders were Brenna Johnston with 25 (.273 H%) and Brielle Pike with 13.

2025 K-2 Basketball Camp registration is now open!
Registration is open to all boys and girls in Kindergarten through 2nd grade in the Westwood school district.

Cross Country- The Westwood XC team ran yesterday on a tough course in Moville. Top 10 finishers for junior high were Emma Longlee 5th place, Gracelyn Wagner 9th place, Levi Willis 6th place, and Braxton Seaton 1st place. Medalists for the High school race were Josie McFarland 17th and Jacob Clayton 8th.
