To Our Valued Students, Families, Staff, and Community Members,
We are writing to express our profound gratitude to every member of the school community who engaged in the recent bond election process. While the measure ultimately did not pass, your participation, thoughtful consideration, and overwhelming support for the needs of our students are deeply appreciated and reflect the strong values of our district. Every conversation, every question asked, and every vote cast demonstrates your commitment to the future of our schools.
We owe a special and heartfelt thank you to the School Board and the members of the Citizen's Advisory Committee (CAC). The commitment demonstrated by these individuals has been truly remarkable. They dedicated countless hours working on a common goal for our students. This volunteer effort, driven solely by a passion for our students, was massive, and we thank them for their incredible sacrifice of time and expertise.
The safety and well-being of our students remain our 100% committed priority. We will not stop working to address the critical facility needs that were outlined in this proposal. The Board will now take the necessary time to carefully reevaluate the plan, consider community feedback, and refine the scope to ensure we are addressing the most urgent concerns effectively. We anticipate bringing a renewed bond measure back to the voters in 2026.
Thank you once again for your dedication to our schools. We look forward to continuing this conversation and working together toward a solution that ensures all our students have the safe, modern learning environments they deserve.
Sincerely,
Jay Lutt and The Westwood School Board
